Killed by An M. C. R. Express

St. Thomas, May 8—John Derlinger, son of James Derlinger, farmer, near Port Dover Junction, was struck by No. 21 Michigan Central express near Kingsmill this morning and cut into pieces. He had been employed only for a week past on an extra track gang and with others was walking on the track to resume work in clearing up the wreckage at Kingsmill. An eastbound train came along and the deceased stepped off on the other track in front of the westbound express and was struck. He was eighteen years of age.

His body was claimed by his father and taken to LaSalette for burial.
