Hodge and Grimes Taken to Brantford

In the old court house in Adelaide street this morning, before Magistrate Ellis, George Hodge and Matthew Grimes, who were held by the Toronto jury which investigated the wreck at the Caledon Horseshoe to be responsible for the lives lost, made an appearance.

They were handed over to the Brampton authorities, where they appeared before Magistrate Mains this afternoon and were committed for trial.

The prisoners were released on bail, R. W. Eaton going bail for $2,000 for George Hodge and Thos. Grimes $2,000 for his brother Matthew.

The case will be heard in Brampton on Nov. 1 at the fall sitting of the Asssizes, to be presided over by Mr. Justice Magee.
