["Prince Edward Hotel," Canadian Northern Railway, Brandon, Man. Postcard]

"Prince Edward Hotel," Canadian Northern Railway, Brandon Man. Divided back postcard published by the Valentine & Sons Publishing Co. and numbered 109,735 in their series. Card is postmarked July 11, 1914. The Prince Edward Hotel opened in June, 1912, so the postcard likely depicts the hotel shortly after it opened. The hotel was demolished in 1980. Of minor note in the picture is the telephone pole in front of the hotel, which appears to be much taller (perhaps around 35 feet) than such poles are nowadays.
