[Chicago Ill., Illinois Central Depot Postcard]

Chicago Ill., Illinois Central Depot. Divided back postcard published by the Hugh C. Leighton Co. The reverse of the postcard reads:

Central Station, Chicago: Chicago is the terminus of 29 railroads using six union stations. The Central Station, so-called, on the Lake Front at 12th street, is used by the Illinois Central, the Michigan Central, the Wisconsin Central and the Big Four roads. this station is bounded by Lake Michigan upon the one hand, by the Lake Front Park upon the other. While its site is particularly fine it derives its title, The Central Station, more from the railroads that use it than from its location. 4-5.
